  • MAPS TO INFORM INTERSECTORAL PLANNING AND ACTION – TECHNICAL REPORT

    Posted on November 26, 2014 |

People like maps and relate to them. Maps can reveal patterns in a way that tables, charts and text do not. This report highlights the potential contribution of mapping technologies to improve health and wellbeing at the local level. It presents two in-depth case studies of communities that have successfully used mapping to mobilize intersectoral action on social determinants of health: Espace montréalais d'information sur la santé (Agence de la santé et des services sociaux de Montréal) and CommunityView Collaboration (Saskatoon Health Region). The report provides key learnings on how to successfully establish and maintain a mapping collaboration to support informed planning and decision-making.
