About CCSDH

The Canadian Council on Social Determinants of Health (CCSDH) is a collaborative, multisectoral stakeholder group that works to influence the factors that shape health and wellbeing.

THE CONDITIONS IN WHICH WE LIVE, LEARN, WORK AND PLAY HAVE A PROFOUND INFLUENCE ON HOW HEALTHY WE WILL BE.

Health and wellbeing are shaped by a number of factors such as housing, income, education, employment, and social support networks. Often referred to as the social determinants of health, these are best addressed through actions within and across sectors. The CCSDH brings together networks from a variety of sectors to identify opportunities for collaboration, develop targeted intersectoral initiatives, and create the knowledge and tools to support action on the factors that shape health and wellbeing.
